Our Coating Technology

Induracoat has specific knowledge and expertise working with polyurea coating technology. In fact, polyurea is the only coating material Induracoat works with.

Polyurea can be defined as the result of a chemical reaction between an isocyanate and an amine. Chemists modify Polyurea formulations in order to meet very specific and highly desirable characteristics including but not limited to extremely fast cure times, high elongation bond strength and chemical abrasion resistance.

Our Capabilities and Certifications

Induracoat’s highly trained and skilled technicians have extensive coating industry experience and are fully certified by our manufacturers in the application of various primers, repair materials and polyurea formulations to concrete, steel, wood and geotextile substrates.

Induracoat’s technicians pay particular attention to substrate preparation and in ensuring overall compliance to project specification.

Induracoat will coordinate onsite assistance from our manufacturers or recognized coating inspectors/consultants with specific application expertise when encountering projects bearing unfamiliar challenges or processes.

Our Application Equipment

Induracoat’s application equipment includes high volume media blasting and substrate preparation apparatus capable of handling projects large and small.

Our mobile high pressure plural component application equipment is certified for use by our polyurea formulators and can be easily mobilized to the remotest of locations.

Our equipment roster also includes several trenchless pipe cleaning technologies and remote controlled CCTV pipe inspection equipment. Finally, Induracoat’s applicator’s are also trained and certified in the use of the latest cutting edge trenchless robotic internal pipe lining/rehabilitation technology.

Our lining process helps provide a cost effective solution to many of the problems common to potable water distribution systems. Its unique properties, combined with a trenchless spin cast application process, can efficiently coat the existing infrastructure—restoring internal pipe diameters, increasing flow, improving efficiency, minimizing water loss and helping to prevent additional corrosion and build up of scale and tuberculation.

Cleaning Methods

The ability to reinstate a water main within 90 minutes of lining allows for same day return to service—reducing total cost, shortening construction schedules and minimizing disruptions to water customers, traffic and local businesses.

Spray Polyerathane Foam

Spray Polyurethane Foam, commonly known as SPF, is derived from the reaction of an isocyanate component and a polyol resin component.

When the two liquids combined, a chemical reaction occurs which creates a rigid or semi-rigid foam. The mixed liquid expands many times its original size. Once cured, it solidifies and becomes polyurethane foam.

Spray Polyurethane Foam offers has many different uses:

  • Commercial and residential building insulation
  • Vapor, air and moisture barriers
  • Industrial insulation for pipes and tanks, and climate-controlled buildings
  • Slab jacking and cavity filling
  • Packaging, furniture, adhesives and architectural design,
  • Flotation for boats, ships, barges, floating docks, etc.
  • Many other uses
